Poet of Sound and Image KiNo, unleashes an exciting live performance
outfit with Andy Rourke (The Smiths) on bass, Alan McSeveney (Octopus)
on guitars with special guest Joe McGinty (Psychedelic Furs) on synths.

Drawing from the fundamental aspects of human beings and their pursuits, KiNo uses images, sounds and words to communicate his visionary universe.

Exquisitely original, KiNo’s music possesses a timeless quality, redolent with emotional depth. His songs are crafted for his distinct voice in order to front the essential attitude of a poet.

Consisting of a vast array of influences; from psychedelic rock to disco, electronic to classical, KiNo’s unique signature sound is produced by ‘Sonic Wizard’ Jeff Blenkinsopp (Pink Floyd, Vangelis, The Secret Machines), inventor of analogue processing devices that engine what is known as the KiNo Live Rig.

This state of the art equipment is created by a collaboration between Jeff Blenkinsopp (hardware) and Alan McSeveney (software) for KiNo’s live presentation.

KiNo Live will be launched with a weekly residency at a new performance space; ShapeShifter ― located in Gowanus, Brooklyn. The concept of the space lies in the vein of a 70s Soho artist loft.

The venue is founded by the bass player Matt Garrison, the son of legendary musician Jimmy Garrison who accompanied John Coltrane through one of the most extraordinary musical journeys of all time.

KiNo, his musical collaborators, Jeff Blenkinsopp and Garrison will unveil an experiential synthesis of something truly essential to New York City’s cultural glory.
